Away Out West
Away Out West is an ongoing collection of prints created through alternative processes, printmaking, and traditional photographic techniques. The work revisits the landscapes of my youth, tracing both memory and place through material experimentation. My process often embraces rules, duration, and chance, allowing the images to emerge in unexpected ways that move beyond conventional photographic tropes. In this body of work, the layering of methods — from historical photo-based processes to contemporary printmaking approaches — reflects my ongoing exploration of how image-making can classify, interpret, and reimagine familiar terrain. By engaging the landscape through walking, observation, and disciplined play, these works speak to both personal history and the broader dialogue between human experience and the natural environment.
